“Farmer Project”: Promoting knowledge of growing economic crops for sustainability

The Faculty of Agricultural Technology, Burapha University, Sa Kaeo Campus.

Referring to the project “Cargill Care: Promoting safe rice cultivation”, that Faculty of Agricultural Technology, Burapha University, Sa Kaeo Campus collaborated with Suranaree University of Technology and Cargill Meats (Thailand) Co., Ltd. to organize activities at Kratok Subdistrict Administrative Organization, Chokchai District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province for 104 rice farmers by informing them of safe rice production methods and the management of rice plots. And this project success gone very well.

So, we considered to expand the project under the project “Farmer: Promoting the knowledge of economic crops for sustainability”.

On Jan 21st 2023, we organized activities at Huai Pa Wai district, Saraburi Province for agriculturist around this area to develop agricultural knowledge such as growth of rice and important of economic vegetables to gain safe vegetable production benefits farmers, retailers, and consumers and water management for the benefit of the community and the environment. This project is to develop a network of cooperation in activities that are in line with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). including other relevant sustainable development goals.
